25 May 2018 - 25 May 2018 | from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm

Tharwa Hall, North Street, Tharwa

Join Dr Susan Orgill and Dr Belinda Hackney from the Department of Primary Industry for a half day workshop on the ACT Legume (clover) and soil sampling project. Soil and clover samples were tested from 17 ACT farms in September-November 2017. Come and hear the results of the testing program.

Susan and Belinda will cover what was done and why (sampling protocols), pasture, soils and clover nodule results. They will also talk about why legumes in pastures are so important, and how to manage for persistence and nodulation in permanent pastures (so those clovers keep on pumping nitrogen into your soils!).

A BBQ lunch will be provided and workshop participants are encouraged to stick around and have a chat with Susan and Belinda about their individual test results. Whether you participated in the project or not, please feel free to come along and find out about the results of this project.

RSVP: to Sally, email: [email protected] or Ph: 62052913 by Monday 21 May.
