On July 20 1989, the late former Prime Minister Bob Hawke delivered his speech to launch the national formation of the Landcare movement.  Locally the Ginninderra Catchment Group and Landcare Australia marked the 30th anniversary at a property near Hall attended by Bob Hawke’s granddaughter, Sophie Taylor-Price, who is the newly appointed Landcare 30-year anniversary ambassador.

The group visited  Paul and Caroline Newall at Wallaroo who spoke about the work on their property as part of the Hall/Wallaroo Landcare Group and Bruno Ferronato from Waterwatch helped Sophie take some water samples.
