Ensuring that the water which enters our treatment plants is of as high a quality as possible is recognised in the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines as an important step in the provision of drinking water. The ACT's drinking water is drawn from several different catchments, both within and outside the Territory's borders, encompassing a wide range of different land uses.

Molonglo Catchment Group The Molonglo Catchment Group works largely in NSW and covers the catchments of the Molonglo and Queanbeyan Rivers, Jerrabomberra Creek and the urban areas of inner Canberra and Queanbeyan.
