The work carried out by Waltraud provides environmental and social benefits to the community while her dedication is an inspiration to the Landcare and Parkcare movement. The environmental benefits are obvious with the work she is carrying out directly improving the state of the environment on a local level. Her efforts to remove weeds and establish native flora on Mount Majura through the Friends of Mount Majura Park Care group have provided environmental benefits to the entire community.
