Come & Try Day!
Mount
Ainslie
Saturday 14th May
10am to 3pm
Meet our wonderful Team Leaders, CVA staff and regular volunteers for a BBQ lunch and a day of fun. You’ll get a chance to find out more about Conservation Volunteers Australia and then have the opportunity to try out the different work we do on top of Canberra’s iconic Mount Ainslie.
Then how about joining CVA team leaders, staff and local volunteers at our come and try day with the Ainslie Weeders on Canberra’s iconic Mount Ainslie. We’ll be providing a BBQ lunch and members of the Ainslie Weeders will be on hand to share their valuable knowledge of our local environment.
We will be undertaking a variety of different activities including mulching, constructing wire tree guards, hand weeding small weeds and cutting and poisoning large woody weeds so come along – have a go and learn some new skills.
New and existing volunteers are welcome, but places are limited so bookings are essential. For more information on this exciting event, or to reserve your place please contact us in the Canberra office
