Expression of Interest - Financial support to attend National Landcare Forum

The Australian Government will provide support for up to five people from the ACT to receive up to $400 (GST inclusive) to help them attend the National Landcare forum which will be held from 23 to 25 March 2010 in Adelaide. The $300 registration fee will also be waived effectively making the subsidy $700. The ACT NRM Council is willing to offer further financial assistance of up to $400 to help cover the cost of travel and accommodation for the five people selected by the Australian Government.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from ACT community members to attend the National Landcare Forum. This can be for volunteers, board members or staff of any eligible group.

To be eligible an applicant must represent:

  • a community or Landcare group that is actively engaged in natural resource management activities
  • a group that will benefit from a member attending the National Landcare Forum
  • a group that, without the subsidy, would be unlikely to send a representative to the National Landcare Forum.

Please send your EOI and the names of individuals who would like to attend the National Landcare Forum by 9am Monday 22 February to esther.duffy@act.gov.au . Please provide the name of the group, and details addressing the criteria above.
