ACT Environment Grants 2010-2011

Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Water, Simon Corbell, has called for applications for the 2010-11 ACT Environment Grants.

The ACT Environment Grants are worth up to $20,000 each, with total funding of more than $225,000. The closing date for applications is Sunday, 30 May 2010.

In 2010-11, funding is available for projects that:

  • support community engagement in implementing nature conservation strategies;\

  • encourage responsible management of pets for the protection of biodiversity;
  • promote sustainability;
  • support or complement ACT Government/community events relating to natural resource relating management;
  • deliver a variety of activities on environmental subjects;
    promote local involvement in environmental activities;
  • involve the local Indigenous community in local environmental initiatives;
  • encourage wise use of resources and reduced negative environmental impacts; and
  • are likely to have a positive and desirable effect on the environment.
